AI & ML
Artificial Intelligence is a pretty loaded phrase. It evokes fear in some and excitement in others. At SDS, we’re not building huge generative AI models. We’re building bespoke, directed systems for our clients. That’s why we prefer to use the term “machine learning” (ML) instead of AI. We use all the tools available to us, including integrations with large models like those of OpenAI, but we also take into account all the security and sustainability concerns that come with those systems. In the end, we learn about our clients and build exactly what they need.
We built a machine learning model that connects both staff and consultant input from hospital safety data to the standards that govern the spaces, aggregating and assessing it so that hospitals can take corrective action immediately and patients are safer as a result.
We’re building a computer vision system that assesses manufactured parts for defects and will ultimately cut the number of inspections by up to 85%.
